Recipe: Raw, Vegan, Sugar-Free Tonic To Kickstart Your Day, by Carly Morgan Gross

Creating alchemy in the kitchen is one of the things I’m known for, whether it’s whipping up a batch of reishi-infused raw chocolates, burdock-graced fermented cabbage, or a superhuman tonic like the one below.

Why not make, prepare, and indulge in the superfoods and super herbs that we're so lucky to be able to purchase? Why not use them to their highest potential? Adding these in to our bodies will supply a ridiculous amount of minerals, adrenal and thyroid support, and a burst of sustaining sugar-free energy like no coffee could ever do. Let us flood our bodies with the most extreme form of nutrition, in the yummiest of ways.

While some of these ingredients might seem a bit strange or unfamiliar, I encourage you to explore them, because this tonic will get you feeling like a total superhuman.

Ingredients:

2 cups boiling water
1 tsp mucuna powder
1 tsp ho sho wu powder
1 tsp ashwaganda powder
1/4-1/2 tsp shilajit powder (start small!)
1 tsp maca powder
2 tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 tsp green leaf stevia powder (or raw honey)
1 tsp raw cacao (optional)
1-2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
dash of vanilla bean
dash of salt

Directions:

Add everything to a blender, blend until fully combined, and then savor, sip, and enjoy your burst of superhuman, superfood, delicious energy.

Remember to drink this drink with INTENT.  As each sip graces your body, feel its immense superhuman healing powers enter your body. Think good thoughts and smile. Enjoy!
