The Emerald Heart Meditation

Settle yourself comfortably in your own quiet area, breathe in deeply through your nose, completely filling your lungs with air, and release your breath slowly through your mouth.

Repeat this once more, breathing in deeply and releasing slowly through the mouth.

Begin to feel your outer bodies shifting and re-aligning.

Repeat one final time, again completely filling your lungs with air.

Invite the Angels of healing to join you in Light.

Breathing quietly now, take time to relax your entire physical body – your legs, torso, arms and hands, and your facial muscles. Be aware of releasing any lingering thoughts from your mind.

Feel yourself entering a deep, peaceful state of complete relaxation, as you become aware of connecting to a higher consciousness.

Now visualize a door in front of your heart centre. See yourself opening the door wide.

Taking the universal healing ray of Emerald Green, feel it filling your heart centre, healing and clearing as it does so.

Ask that any old cords and hurts which no-longer serve your Highest Good, be transmuted in the Emerald Ray.

Feel your heart centre being filled with love and a gentle peace.

I ask that I be protected, guided, inspired, and motivated by the Highest Orders of wisdom, love, truth, knowledge and grace.

I set the intention that my consciousness remains perfectly aligned with the Higher Sources of creative power, unconditional love, and expanded awareness, showing me the light, which is also truth and love. MERRY BELTAINE - HAPPY MAY DAY!

Freya is the unapologetic goddess of love and sexuality in Norse mythology. We celebrate her on May 1, Beltaine, a cross-quarter day between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.

As described in Elizabeth Cunningham’s first book of the Maeve Chronicles, Magdalen Rising, in which Mary Magdalen is brilliantly transmogrified into a Celtic goddess, “the eve of May was a socially sanctioned orgy. Running off into the woods with someone who wasn’t your spouse was practically your civic duty. You were obeying the oldest law. You were multiplying the orgasms of the sexy, fecund earth. Hey, it could only help the crops–and hence the tribes. So just this once, go ahead. Surrender. Let go and let god/dess. That was the mood of Beltaine.”

Freya is perfect for the season. She is a sassy, bawdy and bold goddess archetype who, like Aphrodite, has many lovers — pretty much whomever she chooses — and her legions are legend.

Her story is one of love and lust for life, men, and beautiful objects like the necklace of amber tears she obtains after bedding the four dwarves who made it. (Makes you wonder about Snow White and what she was doing in the beds of the 7 dwarves, doesn’t it?) It turns out these four dwarves represent the four directions in Norse mythology, and through these acts of consummation, Freya embodies the energy of these directions as well as the elements of earth, air, water, and fire. The necklace came to symbolize her life-giving power, and though many tried to steal it, including the trickster, Loki, Freya held onto it with fierce determination and supernatural authority.

For she is a goddess with magical powers and knowledge of Seidr, a form of Nordic shamanism that allows her to shapeshift into various animals from falcon, to sow/boar, to goat. She rides in a chariot drawn by two cats and is sometimes described wearing a white catskin cloak, gloves, and shoes, and at other times wearing a cape made of falcon feathers.

Freya shares some qualities with the Greek triple goddess, Persephone, Demeter and Hecate. She has the ability to resurrect after being killed in initiatory rites much like the Eleusinian mysteries allude to, and has the role of leader of the Valkyries, who bring half of the dead warriors from every battle to her (the other half going to Odin, who may or may not be her husband referred to as Od). She is adept in the magical arts like Hecate, a seer and spinner of the Great Wheel of life and death with all of its lustiness, messiness, and juiciness.

So enjoy, this frisky time of the waxing moon, Sisters and Brothers (Oh, did I mention that one of Freya’s lovers was her twin brother, Freyr, similar to Isis and Osiris, the holy rulers of the land who ensure fertility and abundance through their divine union?). These gods and goddesses remind us of our primal nature and connection to Mother Earth whose bounty we enjoy but often take for granted. Beltaine is a day to jump over the fire, have a picnic, “go-a Maying,” (or roll in the haying), and remember who our mother is.

I don’t know what you have planned for the month ahead, but in the olden days, lusty young men and maidens were running off to the woods together, with nary a virgin returning. Beltane is celebrated in the Celtic tradition starting on the eve of May 1 and lasting throughout the day. However, in days of yore it was often celebrated with feasting, dancing, and merriment all the way through May 15. In the Gaelic lands of Ireland, Scotland and Wales, Beltane refers to the entire month of May. So there’s nothing that says you can’t extend your celebration through the end of the month!

This is the time when Maia, the maiden, Roman goddess of–you guessed it: fertility–as well as playfulness and granting wishes–was feted. Her name means mother and this is really the time when the maiden of spring gave way to the mother of summer. Maia was Queen of the May and was celebrated with flowers and blooms in abundance.

The May Pole was first a tree festooned with flowers and ribbons, symbolizing the phallic energy of the season and the renewal of Mother Earth. Bonfires were set atop hills and celebrants would run between two fires for cleansing and to bring about a bountiful harvest and good luck in the year ahead.

When the Christian religion supplanted the pagan traditions and sexuality was split off from spirituality, some remnants of the old traditions remained. In fact, Mary became known as Queen of the May:

O Mary we crown thee with blossoms today,
Queen of the angels, Queen of the May

In honor of Mary, young girls wore flowered garlands around their head, maintaining the symbols of fertility (flowers are the sexual organs of plants), new growth, and the maiden.

This is not the fruit of knowledge, but the fruits of wisdom grown over the march of time, grown with a purpose to give nutrients to those seekers who have found their way here today.

Yes, this is a gift, a gift for all that will give strength and longevity. The fruits of the labours of many who have served the Good for countless centuries waiting upon this day when the Will of Heaven is fulfilled upon the Earth.

Light and the waters of Spirit have allowed and encouraged the growth and fruition and now is the time to share in the harvest.

MAKING JUDGMENTS OF OTHERS KEEPS YOU IN THE 3D

Over the past three months, we befriended a woman, a fellow Reiki Master, who eventually did just as Buddha described, above. The first to react to her wrongdoings was the lawyer in me: I have absolute proof (a credible witness!) as to this woman's malicious actions. She actually intended and tried to thwart our Reiki school and cast a negative shadow on mine and David's personal reputations in Washington. Incredibly, all we did was accept her invitation to overnight at her home. We all spent a pleasant evening together ... or so David and I thought! On the other hand, this lawyer persona is what I shed in California. It is contrary to who I AM today ... and yesterday's episode with the 8-year-old girl brought it home that I AM a Healer, not a lawyer. So, I see now this ex-friend is a lesson for us all.

Wahe guru ... Great beyond description is the experience of God's wisdom ... and with it I slay the lawyer within and step fully into my I AM Presence. Sat nam ...

We are accountable for our words and the affect of our choice of speech, usage of innuendo and criticism in our speech patterns. To be judgmental causes separation from your I AM Presence. As you exhale while speaking, you immediately inhale the words you just expressed. If those words carry negativity, whether intentionally or carelessly, you effectively split your Self from the inhaling and ingesting of those negative words and cannot fully know love, peace and joy in life in that moment. And, if the speaker strings such a moment into another like negative moment, then the Now becomes a blur of mindlessness where there is little inner peace and balance.

I awoke this morning with one thought: Be your Bliss, come what may. In Tagalog, we say that as "Bahala-na!" George Harrison was right ... "it is all right, everything will work out fine and we're goin' to the end of the line." Yeah, it's time to let go of it all now ... 

Aloha ha'awina, mahalo kumu ... hello lesson, thank you, teacher ... and so it is. 'Amama ...

KUNDALINI YOGA - MASTERING YOUR FIVE TATTVAS

The tattvas are associated with the chakras, but only the first Five. The Sixth, Seventh and Eighth chakras are beyond the elements. These upper chakras are associated with the quality of light.

The Tattvas are the densest form of Maya. They produce the illusion of separation, or, in Western terms, duality.

Each tattva projects Maya in a specific way which leads to suffering. Since tattvas are the elements you are comprised of, you cannot get rid of their projections. However, you can re-direct those projections in an uplifting way. This may not be as easy to do as it it is to say, but it can be done.

MEDITATION TO COMMAND YOUR FIVE TATTVAS

Mantra:  "Aap Sahaaee Hoaa"

This mantra from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (Sikh scriptures) is a gift to you that will let you penetrate into the unknown without fear.  It will give you protection and mental balance.

Begin by tuning in. Sit very straight in easy pose with gyan mudra and listen to a recording of these mantras.


(Mantras:  Om Namo Guru Dev Namo; Aad Guray Nameh )

Here, Guru Ganesha Singh teaches the standard practice versions of both mantra Ong Namo and Aad Guray Nameh. This makes it easy to incorporate Guru Singh's lesson as the beginning to any Kundalini Yoga kriyas (sets of yoga/mantra performed for specific purposes). 


(There are longer applications for these two mantras, which are Yoga exercises each in and of themselves.  But, that's for another blog.)


Next, chant the mantra Aap Sahaae Hoaa:

The Lord Himself has become our protector,

When you hear the word Har, pull the navel point in.  For the three words of Har, your breath will become a 3-stroke breath of fire.  Then suspend the breath out as you keep the navel point pulled in and listen to the rest of the mantra.  Just before the Har sounds come again, inhale quickly and repeat the breath stroke cycle again.

To use the Naad (sound current) and imprint your mind, do this meditation each day for 62 minutes.  Do it for 90 days.  Then you will know the practical experience and power and miracle of the spoken word.

It is very simple and rhythmic.  If you do it very nobly it will be extremely helpful.  Whenever you are effective and create a success in your life, you also must generate some opposition and animosity.  That is called the Law of Polarity.  It is called facing a square in your life.  This meditation will totally eliminate enemies and block the impact of animosity forever.  It can give you mental self-control and let you command your five tattva for effective living.
